North West-based contractor, RW Joinery has successfully started the year by winning £750,000 of new contracts in January alone. The joinery manufacturer and contractor, which has been established since 1967, has been awarded projects including Manchester College’s Fielden Campus in Didsbury for Wates and The Mall in Blackburn for Vinci Construction UK amongst others. RW Joinery is a privately owned, 50-strong company which operates out of its 24,000ft² workshop in Stockport.
The business will be undertaking the joinery packages on all projects including the manufacture, supply and fit of doorsets, wall and ceiling panelling and partitioning as well as the installation of fire & acoustic rated glazed screens. With all projects due to complete this summer, RW Joinery will be supporting the main contractors to deliver first rate education and retail environments.
Speaking about the contract wins, RW Joinery’s managing director, Chris Robinson said: “These project appointments have got us off to a great start in 2010 and we are confident that our pipeline of opportunities will see the business grow after the challenges of last year.
“Our work supplying doorsets for several of the North’s Building Schools for the Future programmes has helped us to raise our profile as a leading joinery contractor, both here in the region and beyond.”
