RW Joinery has secured work across Balfour Beatty's Blackburn, Darwen and Bolton Building Schools for the Future (BSF) scheme.
The business has been appointed to supply and install all doorsets across the school projects, with work already underway at Pleckgate High School in Blackburn. Other joinery works include the associated fire and acoustic glazed screens.
RW Joinery will also be working on four other high schools and two primary schools within the Blackburn, Darwen and Bolton BSF over the next twelve months. Balfour Beatty chose the 25 year life span doorsets because they are a robust product suitable for the demanding school environment.
Balfour Beatty Construction Northern made RW Joinery a preferred sub contractor and supplier in March 2010. The business has since worked closely with the contractor on a number of high profile projects including Gateacre Community School, North Huyton Primary School and Knowsley Leisure Centre in Liverpool.
RW Joinery's managing director, Chris Robinson said: "We have developed our relationship with Balfour Beatty by demonstrating the quality of our products and our workmanship on site. We are delighted to be working as a preferred sub contractor."
