A £30m state of the art school is bold and geometric in shape. At the heart of the new premises is a giant atrium that utilises natural light. The main building contains a theatre & music complex, restaurant, internet cafe, a learning resource centre and learning houses.
RW Joinery contracted by Balfour Beatty to manufacture, supply and install laminate faced doorsets with high fire and acoustic properties.
Although design led by others we managed the process of co-ordinating the doorset to the structural opening sizes, wall widths and fire and acoustic rating. In addition we led the design and co-ordination with the ironmongery and finally what should and should not have vision panels.
We are pleased that the manufacture and installation was flawless.
In addition we manufactured and installed several high fire and high acoustic rated screens including a curved on plan screen with external maple fins.
Our client was very pleased with the overall installation and our quality and contracted with us on several other schemes very soon after.
