At RW Joinery we place a great level of importance on our employees, they are our ambassadors and as a result we feel that it is important to invest in them, not only to ensure they deliver the best possible service but also to invest in them as individuals.
We believe that this is our true investment, the provision of training, expertise and wellbeing to all our staff and operatives. At the core of this belief is the aim to make our company a working environment that is both professional and favourable. The success of this commitment has been demonstrated by the fact that many of our employees have been with us for over ten years. We feel truly honoured to have such committed individuals working on our behalf.
A core ethic of our employment policy is where possible to employ local people for local jobs. This does not just mean that all of our employees based at our Stockport workshop are from the local area, therefore helping the local community to develop and prosper, both socially and economically. But also when we perform work in other areas, such as our existing projects at DMU Leicester and VITA Sheffield, we seek to employ local joiners and tradespeople to work on our behalf.
Therefore there was a real sense of satisfaction when we heard that the confirmed development work on the new £45 million Redrock Stockport cinema complex had been awarded to local design and build company Wates. The project began earlier this year, however the main construction process is scheduled to begin during the autumn period of this year. The project has a scheduled completion date for 2017. We are incredibly excited about the project which will breathe new life into the local community, and is likely to greatly enhance the lives of those who live here.
After over 50 years of activity in Stockport we feel deeply passionate about the town and it would be an absolute pleasure for us to help contribute on a project that will have deep civic and sentimental value to our community. We are no strangers to projects of this vast scope, and for us to bring our collective expertise and experience to a project of such local significance would be a fantastic opportunity for not only us, but also our local professional and dedicated joiners and labourers, and of course for the community of Stockport.
