As a new client to us Henry Brothers Midlands commenced work on Glossopdale secondary school, with the expected completion date in Spring 2018.
The new build will be able to hold a capacity of 1200 students with potential expansion to 1400, catering for 11—16 year olds and will include teaching spaces, sports hall and performing arts studios.
The works will also include the construction of sports pitches and car parking on the site of the existing school. This is the largest project secured by Henry Brothers Midlands, for client Derbyshire County Council.
RW Joinery are pleased to work with Henry Brothers in delivering the doorsets, screens and joinery on this project.
Using our Stockade core we shall manufacture over 250 doorsets with laminate finished leaves lipped all around with FSC hardwood edging and complete with decorative and DDA compliant vision panels all fully fire and acoustic certified. In addition we shall install 90 fire and acoustic rated glazed timber screens finished to match and co-ordinate with the fire performance of the doorset.
RW Joinery has now commenced manufacture of both doorsets and screens with a manufacture period of under four weeks to achieve a final handover early next year.
Ian Taylor, Managing Director for Henry Brothers Midlands said: “This project represents an excellent opportunity for Henry Brothers to deliver a truly outstanding new build secondary school at the heart of Glossopdale”.
Chris Robinson, Managing Director for RW Joinery said “we are pleased to work with Mr Taylor and his team at Henry Brothers. We provided them with the cost advice during their tender and they have honoured their commitment to bring us onto site. We will endeavour to ensure this is the first of many projects we undertake with them.”
