Fire Doors & Smoke Control

Fire Doors & Smoke Control

Fire doors resistance is always the major concern, and at RW Joinery all of our doorsets will meet current fire safety regulations & standards. Our fire doors are commonly specified as FD30, FD60, FD90 and FD120.

Building Regulations Part B outlines the precautions that need to be taken when it comes to property development. To be specific, this legislation focuses on fire fighter access and escape routes for building occupants. These regulations are an important consideration for all developers and as such we ask that you review this document for more information.

We guarantee that every doorset produced by RW Joinery is designed to meet the standards as laid out in the above document. Our bespoke fire doors are fitted with intumescent and smoke seal systems designed to achieve the designated fire resistance of the doorset. We carry out regular testing to BS 476 to improve the performance of each doorset and we submit destructive testing to Exova BM Trada each year to demonstrate our compliance.

At RW Joinery, your safety is always our primary concern.

If you’d like more technical information about our fire safety features, a member of our team will be happy to assist.
