Strength & Durability

Strength & Durability

Not every property has the same needs and at RW Joinery we recognise how important that is. Our bespoke performance doorsets are all available in varying degrees of strength & durability.

The choice you make will depend on the needs of your property and any factors that may affect usage. By offering you a choice on how resilient your door is, we can ensure that your performance doorset meets your property’s minimum requirements while also being value for money.

Degrees of Strength & Durability

  • If you are choosing a performance doorset for a household where there is little risk of continuous misuse, then we’d recommend our Light Duty
  • For properties where there is possibility of accidental damage units, such as households with children, we’d suggest using Medium Duty performance doorsets. These doorsets are also suitable for commercial businesses with light footfall such as offices and libraries.
  • Busy commercial and public environments would best suit Heavy Duty performance doorsets, where the risk of damage is high. Schools and factories would also benefit from Heavy Duty units.
  • Finally, if you’re looking to put performance doorsets in tough public environments (like a prison or hospital) our Severe Duty units will do the job! These units are designed to withstand heavy misuse even in the most violent circumstances.

No matter what choice you make, all of our different unit types are designed to the highest standard and all meet BS 8214 fire regulations. Each unit is put through rigorous tests to ensure they meet minimum Health & Safety standards.

We pride ourselves in the quality of our work and we can provide you with more detailed specifications if you want. If you’d like more information, speak to a member of our team today.
