With support from the Regional Growth Fund we are pleased to confirm completion of phase one of our factory re-development.
Following procurement of ‘the middle factory’ two years ago we have committed to the installation of our door leaf manufacturing plant with completion by November 2014.
We have agreed a procurement schedule with Homag Machinery from Milton Keynes for the supply and installation of a new CNC machine, calibration sander, timber edgebander, heated press and glue distributor. In addition several other local companies shall be supplying us with panel lifters, extraction plant and roller beds. In addition we have instructed a local cladding company to re-clad the roofs to the offices, rear and middle workshops.
Kevin Lynam RW Joinery Director said “This is the first phase of a three phase process. We are looking forward to phase one completion as it will alleviate our dependence on other leaf manufacturers and allow us to master our own procurement and delivery times.”
Phase two will consist of additional mechanisation allowing for movement of door leaves between machines without manual lifting and upgrading lighting within the middle, rear and machine shop units to LED. This will assist with our Environmental targets whilst reducing our carbon footprint and running costs.
Phase three will consist of forming a new staff and public entrance in the centre of our factories with a new boardroom and staff facilities. Phase three shall be completed with the introduction of new offices for the workshops.
