Dual Scope Security Doorsets

Designed for internal use, our PAS 24 door assemblies are available for applications where enhanced protection is required.

Dual Scope means that the doorsets are tested jointly for both security performance and fire performance.

Doorset packages comprise of a severe duty door core, softwood or hardwood frame and selected quality ironmongery.

PAS 24 performance timber doorsets are available in a finish of your choice to compliment any design requirement. They come with a 35dB acoustic reduction and up to FD60 fire performance.

To achieve Secured by Design accreditation, fire doors will need to be covered for both fire and security performance. Often referred to as ‘dual scope’ this requires the doorset to have achieved both the Q-Mark for Fire (BS EN 1634) and Enhanced Security (PAS 24).

PAS 24 is your guarantee that the production of the door you are purchasing is being monitored to ensure compliance with PAS 24:2016 Enhanced Security Performance requirements for doorsets and windows in the UK.

RW Joinery's dual scope certification meets the requirements of the BM TRADA Q-Mark Enhanced Security Door scheme to PAS 24:2016 and BS 644:2012 Timber.

The Building Regulations 2010's Approved Document Q: Security In Dwellings states that all new buildings must include external doorsets tested to PAS 24. 

It's also recognised and accepted that any and all apartment buildings without concierge access must ensure entry doors to apartments meet PAS 24 security performance.
