RW Joinery are pleased to have been associated with the University’s iconic £30m Alan Gilbert Learning Commons building which will provide a world class 21st century learning environment for students at the University of Manchester.
It will provide a variety of learning spaces, including flexible rooms for group work, quiet spaces for lone-working and ‘smart classrooms’ for IT-dependent learning support activities.
The total original contract value for RW Joinery was £550k. RW Joinery supplied and fitted the bespoke joinery such as doorsets, media walls and screens, recycling and print stations, reception desks and PC zones, all using a variety of materials. All windows were dressed in oak and oak panelling was supplied and fitted in the cafe.
