RW Joinery was appointed to manufacture and supply a range of bespoke horizontal grained American white oak joinery throughout the college re-development project. Works in the new build and refurbished buildings included all doorsets, glazed screens, AV units, reception desks, benches, library & common area furniture. External works involved feature timber cladding.
A prominent feature of the build was the over-sized fire and acoustic certified doorsets. These were manufactured in the production facility and installed by the specialist team of joiners to deliver the unique design for Trafford College.
The RIBA nominated project involved work over three phases – the library, a new teaching block and a new atrium area housing the reception and common areas.
Joinery items were manufactured with selected oak veneers, contrasting stainless steel and solid surfacing materials.
