Doorset Options

There are many timber species suitable for the production of decorative wood veneers and you have the complete freedom to choose any wood veneer that is commercially available. The way in which individual sheets of veneers are cut and assembled will substantially affect the appearance of the end product. Examples of techniques commonly used are: crown-cut, quarter-cut, book-matching or mismatched. Veneers can be laid either horizontally or vertically.

Laminate faced doorsets, which are resistant to scuffs and impact, offer exceptional levels of durability and low maintenance. The door surfaces are easy to keep clean and are available in a wide choice of colours and finishes.

Laminates can be supplied from many ranges, from the most popular common laminate suppliers to more obscure bespoke laminates from our specialist suppliers.

Primed or Pre-finished

Doors can be delivered to the site, primed ready for on site decoration or pre-finished prior to delivery.

Architraves can be supplied from softwood, hardwood or MDF, primed for site painting or factory-finished hardwood. All designs are crafted to meet our clients’ required level of fire performance.

Vision Panels

Vision panels and glazing have a major impact on fire performance; appropriate glazing and beading configurations need to be subject to performance requirements. However, the choice of size, location and shape is extensive. We will offer advice for hardwood bolection bead and hardwood flush bead. To ensure quality and specified performance, all doors will be factory glazed. Beads can either be fully polished or painted to match the door or doorset. Glass in fire rated doors is unwired and can be insulated, uninsulated, clear or obscured in finish.

Leaf and Doorset Sizes

RW Joinery have a wide range of suppliers which enables our clients to have a flexibility that includes enhanced performance doorsets in a variety of exceptionally high or wide sizes. We have third party accreditation for PAS24 tested doorsets. Our doorsets have an exceptional height with standard single point access control locking, whilst maintaining fire and high acoustic certification.

Access Control

RW Joinery trades with all the major access control suppliers. Independent testing has allowed for these products to be formally incorporated into our doorsets.

PAS 24

We have carefully and independently tested our performance doorsets to achieve PAS24 certification. You can be assured of high quality products as our latest doorset passed the initial test for an: over height, single point locking, high acoustic and fire rated doorset.

We have a variety of ironmongery manufacturers we utilise so we can offer an extensive range of options. The client is also free to specify their own, provided it has been tested and certified to the necessary requirements for fire resistance.
